VPS provided mobile unit VPS38 with 6 cameras including a jib for the 34th annual Dominion Energy Christmas Parade in downtown Richmond. The parade was broadcast live on WTVR CBS 6 in the Richmond, Virginia area and also streamed online.
Viewpoint collaborated with WTVR to make the show a technical success with the WTVR ENG operators. Our crew partnered with the WTVR studio crew to train them how to use Sony Triax Cameras. VPS assisted with developing a graphics package and switcher elements for transitions as well as double and triple boxes. After 15 minutes of training on site from our engineer, the technical director was up and running with all the effects for the show at his fingertips.
The show was a success, and everybody on the crew got to be a part of a different type of production. It’s not everyday there’s a parade in town!
